The beans for this bar come from the Urubamba Valley in the Peruvian Andes, a stone’s throw from the ancient mountain-top city of Machu Picchu. Urubamba Valley is home to the Chuncho bean, one of Peru’s rarest varieties of cocoa and one of the world’s aromatically richest. Responsible for the care of these beans are the 100 farmers of the Alto Urubamba Cooperative, 45 of whom are women.
The aromatic Chuncho bean from Peru gives this bar a flavour profile of dried flowers , with some subtle fruity and herbaceous notes.
